A Blank Canvas of Black&White



After seeing countless girls from around the united states the girls had been brought to Miami, Florida. Twenty of them stood in the lobby of the Legendary Fontainbleau Resort on Miami Beach. Each face unique in their own way, and a different story for each one of them. As they looked around they noticed a set with a gray backdrop and many lights, the crew rushing around to get everything ready in time for the ladies to get right to work. Suddenly out of no where came a familiar face.

"Hello Ladies, how are you today", Baja said to all of the girls as they looked at the set wide eyed. Baja smiled and continued to brief them on their task.
"Ok so here we are, you're assignment today is very easy. You will all be styled very simply in a skin colored tube top and your hair will be wavy and glamorous. Make up will be natural, except for your eyes... they must be a black smoky eye just to emphasize expression a bit. You have to give a very powerful look because you will be... hmm how would I say this, selling I guess, these beautiful pieces of jewelery. You have your choice of a necklace, ear rings, or bracelets. They are rather large mostly because we want you to learn how to create interesting shapes with your upper bodies while learning how to position such a difficult yet beautiful piece. It sounds very simple but there is a catch, the shot will be very tight from the top of your head to your shoulders. You have got to fit in that frame. Good luck ladies... get at it and good luck. Because after this, only twelve of you will remain"
And with that Baja was off into the morning to take care of a regular day of work while the ladies begun their own.

Guidelines

-Makeup. Smoky eye, the rest should be all natural

-Hair. Wavy and natural as well.

-Wardrobe. You must look nude, no boob shots those will not be accepted here. Also the choice of jewelery must be bold and big something noticeable.

-Setting. Use the background provided. Do not resize, and you may edit it don't over do it but you are free to do minimal lighting editing to fit the model.

DEADLINE.
This is Due on MONDAY JUNE 28th If you need an extension please try to ask 2 days in advance though I am very flexible just make sure you let me know.

Challenge

As the girls made their way up to the rooms after the photoshoot they found letters from Baja on each of their beds. In them was a note...

As you may all know, I am Puerto Rican.
That is very special to me and its the reason why
I am here. It has shaped all that I am.
I want you ladies to write the public a note like
this one and tell them about your heritage. What
country you represent in this competition
And no I by heritage and ethnic background I dont mean
Latina or Hispanic. Like I represent Las Puerto Riqueña's.
Also if you have been to you're country tell me you're
favorite place and if you haven't what do you want to see of it.
So yep this is optional but it can help make you or break
you in this competition. It can add points and even gain
you a special place in the heart of the public. Good luck and
can't wait to see my notes.

Hi, my name is Lara. I represent Brazil with all my heart, and Brazil and Spain are what define me. I am mixed, so I can truly reach out to a lot of people, and they can all see who I am, and what I represent. I was born in São Paulo, which will always remain my most favorite part of the world. When I go there, I just feel extremely comfortable, because it is me! My favorite part about São Paulo is the openness, and diversity between the people, from citizens to tourists, and that represents me because it shows I am international. If I had to pick a spot in São Paulo that I loved, it would be the rain forest because it is so natural and precious, and gods creation is just so special to me. I'd love to help the urban poor in São Paulo as well, to help make the country a safer, and more prosperous place.

I’m a true Carioca girl, meaning from Rio de Janeiro. I love that city, the climate, the landscape and the people who lives there.
Ah, Brazil! We say that God is Brazilian, and how can it be other, just look at the great beauty and bounty of my country! The valleys of temperate climate with their prospering vineyards in the south, the coffee country, almost tropical in the middle. The endless beaches and the vast lands of the Cerrado and Certao, where cattle roam and gems are hidden on the ground … and of course the astounding Amazonia. The tropical forests with hundreds of yet to be named species, a source for science and medicine!
How could I possibly pick one favorite place? All of that, the mingling of tastes, climates and the characters, is the spirit of Brazil. And that’s how I feel too, a part of everything, and all these things are part of me.

Hola amigas. My name is Lucia. Im from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, but I was born in San Juan. My family moved around a lot when I was younger, so I was able to see many beautiful countries and cities. Brazil has been my favorite of all. Even though I dont speak Portuguese, Spanish is extremely prevalent. Rio has so much to offer anyone of any age. Whether you love shopping or the beaches, there are many different activities to suit everyone. My most favorite things to do are the weekend Samba parties and the soccer matches. Anything outside celebrating this beautiful country is what I love to do. It has been the most influential culture Ive lived in. The art and fashion are what made me who I am today. I found myself escaping into musuems and galleries, setting my mind wild with possibilities. Im here today because of that, and am representing Rio De Janiero, Brazil 110%!

My favorite part of the country is the capital - Asunción. I love old buildings and things that are connected with history and that's why I adore the main street in Asunción - Calle Palma; The Presidential Palace is so beautiful in the night with all these lightings and right in front of it there are lots of old traditional homes which were restored and now they serve as a museum. Also they can show us how the city improved in an architectural point of view. I like this city. ''
